Framing the Female Gaze: Women Artists and the New Historicism

Vitus Shell's work is part of the travelling exhibition Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American Collage, a significant exhibition with an impressive list of intergenerational artists, including Kara Walker, Mickalene Thomas and Rashid Johnson.
The exhibition runs September 15th - December 31st at the Frist Art Museum and will then travel to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and The Phillips Collection. The exhibition will be accompanied by the catalogue shown above.
